Renegade Fathead (Colored Handles)

Renegade Fathead Club (with Colored Handles)

The Renegade Fathead juggling club (1991) was inspired by club shapes used by some early 19th century European and Russian jugglers. This new variation of the Fathead is made with a Henrys ash dowel, tube handle, plastic center ring, and round knob. The club is essentially a Henrys Delphin with a Fathead body. This configuration brings the club weight down to 212 grams, which is quite a bit less than the original club weight of 235 grams. Nice for indoor juggling, but slightly too light for outdoors.

The Fathead has a slower feel than our other clubs, making it a good club for body tricks, kick-ups, and club passing. Its larger body size gives it high visibility and a unique appearance. Advanced jugglers can easily handle these clubs in all types of juggling patterns, from five club solo work to nine club passing. Many talented jugglers (such as Jay Gilligan and Wess Peden) started with or used this club to train five club juggling. The large body size requires a clean, open pattern. Some people find that the Fathead is a little harder to catch on the big end (but this isn’t a problem after getting used to the club). The increased width of these clubs will make them slightly harder to juggle than the 95mm or 85mm in four and five club patterns.

All Renegade clubs are custom made to order. Fathead juggling club design features: white body; choice of handle color; black or white center ring and knob.
